I have an electronic copy of the letter send from the FDA to Consumer Affairs. It clearly states that the reason for the denial of CA's request for information release was because "Records or information compiled for law enforcement purposes when disclosure could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement procedings." So if there isn't an investigation, why would an FDA official select that reason on the rejection letter?
