Re: [CDFC] Fw: FDA Confirms Probe of NUTRO Pet Food Deaths,
Hi Dora;
I have seen nothing come through from the FDA in an OFFICIAL capacity, which is when I post to my page where recalls are "official". Have you checked on their site? I don't see any recall information past April 11 2007. If you don't see anything there, then the problem can't be that serious. I am getting tons of stuff first around peanuts, and now pistachios, but the only thing close to pet food was an item today about chicken feed that some use for cat litter, and the problem there is too much salt, so the cats would tend to lick.
The only reason I commented was because it is always good to keep an eye on your pet's health as you don't want to wait until pets start to die as happened with the melamine.
Even now there are stories coming out about the melamine contamination of milk powder for children as there are long term repercussions even if you or your pet only get a mild amount in the diet:
(see "Long-term complications of melamine consumption in children" at site above)
