Re: [Dog_Nutrition] good Food For Senior Dog
My older boy Cyber uses Canidae fish and meat and we put probiotics in it. His stools are huge. He is a very healthy boy but weighs 63 or so I think. Sandy eats innova puppy for large breeds. They probably make an adult. Her stools are much smaller, more like big cat turds. Tommy

Subject: [Dog_Nutrition] good Food For Senior Dog
OK, I have been feeding Sadie Jane my 12 1/2 year old GS mix Nutro Naturals Senior. She has done much better on it but I still have some questions.
The vet recommended it because it has no corn. Her stools are very small so I wonder if too small means constipation. I just reas and article posted on one of the dog sites about Nutro being investigated as many dogs were getting ill. Don't know who wrote this or the validity of the claims as Sadie has had no ill effects.
I ahve seem Blue Bufflo, but the chuncks are very small and hard.
Question. I need suggestions on a good food for her. Not too hard of chucks as the teeth are getting old. Promotes good digestion and keeps that little extra bounce to her step. She is 75 pounds and is in pretty good shape. Lots of large cysts, all checked by the vet. So over all she is in good health.
Thanks for any advise you can supply.
Laurie
