The most scientific information available to your local professionally
trained dietitians on the nutrient content of raw vs that of cooked is found
at nutritiondata.
http://www.nutritio
There you can select a specific cut of meat along with a specific weight, (I
use 100 grams as the result is basically a percentage number out of the
100), and decide what is best from that.
Based upon what I was taught by Deb Zoran last summer, (basically stating
the principle that when a pet is altered it is plunged into the equivalent
of menopause), I would never give a companion animal that has been altered
a high fat/calorie diet, and therefore we prefer foods that have had the fat
content rendered out, so look for specific protein "meal". The term "raw"
means nothing in professionally trained nutritional agencies.
If you audit a variety of groups focused upon feeding pets you will see that
those pets fed raw have exactly the same ailments as those who are fed
commercial, home cooked, or any other diet. What counts is the ingredient
list.
Good luck with your quest.
