Subject: [Dog_Nutrition] Good site for pet food - kibble, canned?
I dont post too often here but this may help some folks to decipher the pet food labels (and some interesting articles too). After a while you can look at a label and in about 20 sec. decide what level of food it is.

After years of looking at labels, I decided that once a kibble is a decent quality, not sure spending more gets you much more because of the high temp. that they extrude most kibble at. Even Wellness is now extruded. Better to buy a baked kibble if this is all you feed. I have determined that extra money is better spent on quality canned food which I give with the kibble. I kind of treat the kibble as filler for two GSDs. I do buy quality kibble, just not the absolute most expensive. I also supplement with human cooked food. Works for my guys but may not work for all.
