[Dog_Nutrition] Re: Rocky is favoring a hind leg

He could have just pulled something. My boyfriend's dog is getting on (9yo) but still loves to run around like the devil, and when he overexerts, or lands wrong, or tries to pull a turn thats a wee bit too tight, he might favor a leg for a day or two. You know your dog best, if he seems to be in severe pain, can't place any weight on it at all, or if it seems like it might be broken, you should def. take him to the vet. If it's an off and on thing and you try to wait it out and it doesn't last more than a day or two, it was probably just a sprain. I would def. try to keep him from running amok until he feels better though.

He climbed onto his futon for a nap and when he got up he was holding up a hind leg. What could this be? I checked his foot and all is ok from what I can tell. He will walk and it seems to improve with use, but after a quiet period, laying down, he will favor it again. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
